Catholic Social Services of Southern Nebraska is also collecting donations to assist flood victims in Nebraska
The Salvation Army is accepting on line donations specifically intending for helping flooding victims in Nebraska, South Dakota and Western Iowa. They are assisting at relief shelters and organizing donations to be distributed to evacuees. They are also organizing flood-cleanup kits and preparing for weekend flood possibilities.
You can donate to the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund on line or call 1-800-RED CROSS. Text the word REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation. (NOTE: This is the GENERAL disaster relief fund and money may be used to help victims of other disasters.)
The Nebraska Farm Bureau has a disaster relief fund to help farmers, ranchers and rural communities affected by flooding. They also have created the Agriculture Disaster Exchange, which allows you to donate money or offer other services/materials, or make requests for assistance. There are also many links to state and federal web sites that can help flood victims.
