The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a report that ex-Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee was assaulted by his 21-year-old son Brandon, his child with his ex-wife, Pamela Anderson.
Deputies confirmed to ABC Radio that they received a report of the alleged assault on Monday night, and that Lee, who was treated at a hospital, claims his son hit him during an argument.
Lee posted a Twitter message Wednesday about the alleged incident, writing, “My fiancé and I were in bed when my son busted into the room and assaulted me. I asked him to leave the house and he knocked me unconscious. He ran away from the police.”
Tommy also maintained that a TMZ report suggesting that Brandon attacked him because of negative comments Lee made about Anderson in a tweet posted Monday was untrue.
“Hey @TMZ maybe get your facts straight before you go reporting b*******,” Lee wrote.”
That TMZ article also claimed that, according to sources, Brandon, who has been living part-time with his father, punched Tommy when the rocker drunkenly lunged at him.
TMZ included a screen grab of a now-deleted Instagram post by Lee showing his swollen lip and the message, “My heart is broken. You can give your kids everything they could ever want in their entire lives and they can still turn against you. Good job Brandon. Great son!”
Lee’s tweet regarding Anderson was in response to comments she made during a recent interview with Piers Morgan in which she claimed she was physically abused by Tommy while they were married.
“Think she’d find something new to discuss instead of rehashing old s*** but I guess she has nothing else going on & needs attention,” he wrote. “Signed, ‘The abuser’ (who she texts everyday & asks for me back).”
